I was thinking of a manly plant to grace my room. I knew I would need something to complement the messiness, vulgarity and manliness of a college kid's wood paneled apartment room. I thought at first of a large phallic cactus, but that was too obvious. Then I moved to a fern or some kind of boring little leafy plant that will never die. That was way too boring. I settled on a Venus fly trap. They're pretty easy to care for and are sweet, I mean, they fucking eat bugs, what more can you ask of a plant? So I bought one today, along with enough peat moss and Perlite to literally grow about of them. Right now it's in a Styrofoam cup on my windowsill, hopefully it will soon be moved to a Coors Light aluminum pint bottle, because that will really complete the manly look. I'm pretty excited about it, but it still needs a name. Something Roman would be pretty cool, like Cannae or Trasimene. I like Cannae. If you don't understand the reference look here. If you still don't understand then... you must be someone other than Josh Clasen.
